Mourinho ‘offered’ new Fenerbache deal before Rangers clash
Jose Mourinho has been offered a new deal at Fenerbahce just days ahead of their Europa League showdown with Rangers.
Rangers face a daunting task in Istanbul this week in the first leg of the Round of 16 Europa League tie after three home defeats on the bounce.
Mourinho has been in the headlines all week after an explosive bust-up following Fenerbahce’s bitter derby with Galatasaray, where he was accused of racist abuse after claiming the home bench jumped around like monkeys.

What Ferguson told Rangers players before Motherwell loss
He was initially handed a four-match ban by the Turkish FA for his criticism of officials and fined £35,194, but that was reduced on appeal to two matches and a fine of £12,200.
And, in a vote of confidence in the former Chelsea, Manchester United, Spurs, Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Roma and Porto boss, Fenerbahce have offered to extend Mourino’s deal to 2027.
It was reported in Turkey that Fenerbahce president Ali Koc met with the Portuguese boss and offered him an extension to his deal, which currently expires next year.
And Mourinho is expected to sign the deal soon, as he attempts to try and win what would be a sixth European trophy win if he can take Fenerbahce all the way.
