Simon Jordan warns Rangers what they DON’T want from 49ers takeover as pros and cons include Leeds danger

Simon Jordan has warned Rangers there’s a danger they could end up playing second fiddle to Leeds if they are taken over by 49ers Enterprise.

As exclusively revealed by Record Sport, the NFL investment firm are in advanced talks over taking control at Ibrox, with the boardroom change fans have been crying out for now seemingly a real possibility. The group, who own historic NFL franchise the San Francisco 49ers and the Elland Road club.

Current UEFA rules on multi-club ownership prohibits clubs controlled by the same owners or directors from competing in the same European competition. Article 13 in the Scottish FA rulebook covers dual interests in clubs and any individual involved in another club must have the consent of the SFA board before the deal is rubber-stamped.
