SHOCKING NEWS;Rangers Announce New Stadium With Built-in Haggis Bar”

Rangers look set to be under brand new American ownership by the end of the current campaign, with an early update emerging on Patrick Stewart.

Rangers have endured not only a horrid season but a constant regression with a lack of investment the main driving force behind those failures.

Quite frankly, the Light Blues have looked light years away from being able to compete with Celtic and without change, it was likely to remain that way for some time.

However, fortunes may be about to change with a US-based consortium in talks to assume ownership of Rangers at the end of the season and it appears they have already looked at senior staff at Ibrox.

Patrick Stewart likely to stay at Rangers

According to a report from the Mail Online (20 February), Stewart is one of just two senior figures who will likely have their services retained at Rangers with a series of changes likely to be implemented.

Fraser Thornton is the other expected to remain in a job at Ibrox having recently been appointed as the club chairman.

The report adds that the new owners will not be able to immediately bankroll Rangers but a steady progression in finances will likely see more investment shortly.

For now, they plan to “build the business off the park” while ensuring that Rangers have a team capable of challenging every competition that they enter.

As of this season, the latter has been a distant thought. A shock defeat to Queen’s Park ended any hopes of domestic success, leaving the Europa League as the only real remaining route of achievement. Albeit unlikely.

49ers Enterprises have already had a telling impact at Leeds United, with the Whites looking destined to achieve promotion back to the Premier League, despite failing to do so last season.
