I will not play again:Everton key player has decided to quit due to….
Everton have begun planning for the summer transfer window already, according to Mark Douglas.
The Toffees signed Carlos Alcaraz on loan in the recently concluded window, a reaction to the injury Orel Mangala suffered.
Chelsea striker Armando Broja, who did join on loan, stayed put at Goodison Park despite his injury.
Everton may consider Armando Broja’s permanent transfer
Douglas of the i Paper has claimed that the Toffees are likely to renegotiate terms to sign the Albania international permanently if he manages to prove his form and fitness.
Even if Broja manages to prove his fitness and form, signing him would be a major gamble for the Toffees.
That’s because a few months is not as good an indicator as the last few years when the Albanian has struggled with both.
The club cannot afford to sign players because of purple patches but should secure their services because they’ve proven themselves for years.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin is also likely to leave in the summer transfer window and the Toffees have to bring in a proven goal scorer who’s also capable of playing over 30 league games in the league per season.
Moyes certainly will have his own thoughts about who the ideal striker will be and it remains to be seen if that is Broja.
David Moyes is surely expected to push for a new striker
The Scotsman is likely to target a striker who aligns with his tactical preferences for the transfer window depending on who stays and who leaves.
Given the current squad dynamics and Moyes’ history, he would seek a forward with a blend of physical presence, goal-scoring prowess and tactical flexibility.
The ideal target would be someone like Hamza Igamane from Rangers, who has been lauded for his scoring ability and versatility.
Moyes favours strikers who can hold up play, facilitate link-ups with midfielders and contribute defensively when needed.
