Great news as Nottingham Forest player returns to fitness – Out since October with knee issue

Nottingham Forest could probably do with some good news after the weekend defeat to Bournemouth and fortunately it’s arrived in the shape of Jonathan Panzo.

The newspaper reports that the defender was recently used by Rio Ave in an Under 23 game as he aims to return to full fitness and the first team. He’s been on loan with the Portuguese side since the summer.

He’s barely featured for them after he suffered a ligament injury in his right knee back in October. Panzo has been out of action since then but is now looking to get back fit for the second half of the season.

That’s a boost for Rio Ave but also Nottingham Forest, who can now hope he gets back in the picture at the Portuguese club between now and the end of the campaign.

The current loan deal does not include a purchase clause, and the hope will be, presumably, that he gets back to fitness, impresses and convinces suitors to come forward in future.
