Celtics confirm the return of former player

Rangers confirm the return of former player

However, with game time limited, Barcelona opted to recall the player and send him on loan to Serie B side Como.

During his brief stint at Celtic Park, Valle contributed to the club’s success, including a memorable League Cup triumph against Rangers. He also featured in the Champions League, marking a key milestone in his young career. Despite his limited opportunities, Valle took to Instagram to express his gratitude to Celtic, its fans, and the experiences he gained in Glasgow.

“Thank you for giving me the opportunity to join such a big and historic club like Celtic,” Valle wrote. “I’ve made my Champions League debut and I have won the first title of my professional career. It was short but I tried to enjoy and give my best every day for the badge and for its amazing fans, massive part of the club. Thanks again for everything.”

The defender departs with well wishes from the Celtic support, who saw glimpses of his quality during his short stay. Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers allowed the early termination of Valle’s loan to facilitate his development elsewhere, with the Hoops now looking to the future.

The club has already moved swiftly to address Valle’s departure, confirming that Kieran Tierney has signed a pre-contract agreement to return to Celtic this summer. The fan favourite’s return would provide a significant boost to the left-back position, though there is a possibility of an early deal being struck with Arsenal to bring him in before the end of the January transfer window.

We wish Valle all the best.

Celtic are clear in the Scottish Premiership title race. Currently 10 points ahead of rivals Rangers with a game in hand, and having only lost once all season, it means that they are primed and ready to secure a fourth-straight top-flight title, and a 13th title from a possible 14, to cement their stance as Scotland’s leading club.
