Kevin Thelwell launches third Everton raid as Rangers set to agree behind-the-scenes deal
Everton said goodbye to Kevin Thelwell earlier in 2025, and the Rangers man looks set to raid the Toffees for a third time.
Everton hired Kevin Thelwell as director of football in 2022, and he oversaw the appointment of Sean Dyche as Toffees manager.
Former Wolverhampton Wanderers man Thelwell had a mixed record at Everton and was ultimately let go by The Friedkin Group earlier this year.
Thelwell moved on to Rangers this past summer and is now set to raid the Toffees for a third time in a matter of months.
Kevin Thelwell to take Everton’s Nathan Fisher to Rangers
On the pitch, Rangers snapped up Everton striker Youssef Chermiti, a man Thelwell lured from Sporting to Merseyside in 2023.
Everton lost Dan Purdy from the behind-the-scenes operation, as the head of recruitment went on to join Thelwell at Rangers.
Purdy now serves as technical director at Ibrox, and Thelwell has decided to reunite with another Everton figure.
Rangers Review report that Everton’s Nathan Fisher is set to leave Hill Dickinson Stadium to become head scout at Ibrox.
Fisher currently serves as head of emerging talent at Everton, but he is now set to leave to reunite with Thelwell at Rangers.
