Nottingham Forest want Arsenal midfielder available for £10m, Fulham and Brentford keen
Nottingham Forest will go in search of some new players now that the transfer window is in full swing.
Igor Jesus checked in at the City Ground yesterday and he will likely be joined by a number of new players during the current window.
Jair Cunha has been linked with Forest and Jesus might not be the only forward player who gets signed by the club during this window.
A host of players will likely leave the City Ground too. Wrexham are closing in on Lewis O’Brien, whilst Anthony Elanga is the subject of a big-money bid from Newcastle.
Players are getting linked with the Reds left, right and centre at the moment and now another link has emerged for Forest.
Nottingham Forest want Albert Sambi Lokonga
According to reports, Lokonga is now on the shortlist at Forest following his season-long loan with Sevilla during the 2024/25 campaign.
The previous year, Lokonga came up against Forest during his loan spell with Luton and their relegation ended any lingering hopes they had of keeping the Belgian permanently.
Arsenal are looking to cash in on the midfielder before the season gets underway as they look to raise significant funds to sign a new striker.
Lokonga has made 39 appearances for the Gunners, but it now appears as though his time at the Emirates Stadium is nearing a close.
Lokonga could be useful but only if the price is right
Signing a player who is 25 with Premier League experience might be useful but ultimately, the Reds have to make sure the price is right.
Lokonga has the ability to be a very useful signing and perhaps he’d represent a minor upgrade on Ryan Yates in the Forest engine room.
He would also cover usefully for the injured Nicolas Dominguez and as a result, it makes sense why Forest are going in search of another midfielder.
