Neil Lennon confirms he is in talks to bring former Celtic youngster to Dunfermline

Neil Lennon is keen to continue the Celtic reunion at Dunfermline and has confirmed he is in talks with one former Hoops academy prospect.

Lennon signed Victor Wanyama on a deal until the end of the season after taking charge at Dunfermline for the second half of the 2024/25 campaign.

The former Celtic manager signed a new deal to extend his stay at the Scottish Championship side.

As he prepares for a hopeful promotion push, one former Bhoy could be joining him at East End Park.

Neil Lennon reveals Celtic youngster could sign for Dunfermline after trial

Dunfermline’s pre-season continued with a 3-1 win against Scottish League One side Kelty Hearts.

In the squad was ex-Celtic academy youngster Alasdair Davidson and Lennon revealed that the defender may be extending his stay permanently.

He told the Dunfermline club website: “We’re in the discussion with his agents at the minute so I’m hoping that won’t take too long.”

Davidson left Celtic Park in the summer after coming to the end of his three-year contract.

Alasdair Davidson could’ve played in Scottish Premiership

Although it never worked out for Davidson at Celtic, he still could’ve had the chance to play in the Scottish Premiership.

In May, reports claimed that Falkirk wanted to sign the former Celtic B defender to bolster their ranks ahead of the return to the Scottish Premiership but John McGlynn’s side opted against a move and now he looks set to reunite with a Bhoys favourite.
