REPORT;Rangers set to lodge official offer for South American winger imminently
Rangers are preparing to bolster their attacking options under Russell Martin next season.
The 49ers are already showing their ambition for the Light Blues with a number of confirmed transfers at Ibrox already, and they are far from done yet.
Thelo Asgaard became the latest addition, joining in a reported £3.5million deal from Luton Town, with Max Aarons, Lyall Cameron and Joe Rothwell among those already in the door at Glasgow.
However, the latest update has seen the Gers linked with Weslley Patati, and there is a big cause for optimism ahead of the new campaign.
Patati subject of Rangers transfer approach
With a deal already progressing for Dor Turegman from Maccabi Tel Aviv, Rangers are preparing a move that would see a second attacker make the move from Israel.
That is Patiti, who, according to a report from ONE via X (5 July), is expected to be the subject of an official offer from the Light Blues in the coming days.
Tel Aviv | Games | Goals | Assists |
Patati | 30 | 12 | 6 |
A price tag in the region of £8million has been mooted for the 21-year-old winger, who registered 18 goal contributions for his current side last season.
With Vaclav Cerny no longer around, and both Hamza Igamane and Cyriel Dessers potentially on their way out, Rangers need attacking reinforcements, and it seems as though they are prepared to push the boat out to sign them.
Martin set to receive backing of 49ers in bid to compete with Celtic
Ultimately, Martin’s success will be determined by whether or not he can get the Light Blues back to a position where they can compete with the Bhoys for domestic success, after years in their shadow.
