Two players have angered their club after negotiations with Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest are going in search of new players this summer, with European football on the radar for next season.

Nuno Espirito Santo will want to ensure that the squad is well-stocked in every position, with the team set to play more matches in 2025/26.

Igor Jesus is signing to bolster the front line, and he will rival Chris Wood and Taiwo Awoniyi for a place in the Forest team next season.

Other players will naturally join the club, and one challenge for Forest will be keeping Anthony Elanga, who is wanted by Newcastle.

Forest have had some setbacks so far this summer too, and now a couple of players who have rejected the Reds appear to have angered their club.

Samuel Mbangula and Timothy Weah have angered Juventus

Forest were rejected by the two forwards at the end of last month, and according to TuttoSport, that has angered their current club.

It’s believed that Juve were happy for Weah and Mbangula to join Forest, with both players informed that they’re surplus to requirements at Juventus.

The Old Lady didn’t appreciate the players rejecting Forest after a fee was agreed, and their futures are now up in the air.

It’s thought that the club are also unhappy that both players expressed their frustration at being left out of a game at the Club World Cup on social media.

Forest will now likely move on from both of these forwards, with others almost certainly on the shortlist to arrive before the new campaign gets underway.

Forest need to move on quickly from Juventus rejection

It’s fair to say that both of these players would have been useful additions to the squad, but Forest can’t dwell on things.
