Rangers star wanted by Graham Potter now set for London Stadium but it’s a major blow for West Ham

A Rangers star named as a top target of Graham Potter and head of recruitment Kyle Macaulay is now set for the London Stadium but it’s actually a major blow to West Ham.

West Ham have been linked with a host of players at Rangers and Celtic this summer.

That should not be too much of a surprise given West Ham’s new head of recruitment is Scotsman Kyle Macaulay and their assistant boss is Billy Reid.

Scottish giants Rangers and Celtic have always been a hunting ground for Premier League clubs.

The Hammers will unveil Celtic’s young Scottish hotshot striker Daniel Cummings on a free transfer on Tuesday.

Daizen Maeda and Arne Engels have also been linked with moves to West Ham.

But it is an exciting Rangers star who has been named as one of Graham Potter and Macaulay’s top four targets.

West Ham are desperate to strengthen their forward line and have 22-year-old Rangers star Hamza Igamane on their wish list.

It has been reported for some time now that the Hammers have been eyeing an approach for Igamane this summer.

The Moroccan star bagged 15 goals and laid on two assists in 27 starts for Rangers last season.

It was claimed earlier this month that Igamane is one of West Ham’s top four targets.

The problem is West Ham are insisting they cannot spend significant sums until sales are made due to PSR.

The situation has enraged Hammers supporters, some of whom feel it is the final straw, signing a petition calling for a change of ownership.

West Ham vice-chair Karren Brady caused controversy when discussing transfers this week.
