£32m star who rejected Nottingham Forest is back on the market, scored 22 goals last season
Nottingham Forest had a bit of an ordeal last season when it came to trying to sign a new striker.
The Reds tried a number of different deals in the summer transfer window 12 months ago, with Evangelos Marinakis desperate to get a striker in during January too.
Eddie Nketiah rejected Forest for Crystal Palace, and given that he had a less than impressive campaign, that probably was a deal that the club will be thankful to miss out on.
Forest have signed Igor Jesus this summer to move quickly in the quest to land a striker, and he will join the club shortly after he’s finished playing at the Club World Cup with Botafogo.
One player was at the top of the hit list for the club last summer, and at times, it looked like the club had got their man, only for him to stay put and move in January.
Now, he might be on the move once again this summer…
Santiago Gimenez could leave AC Milan after six months
Nuno Espirito Santo thought he’d signed Gimenez last summer, only for him to reject a move to Forest, something which he actually did on more than one occasion last summer.
The Mexican stayed put with Feyenoord and spent the first half of the campaign playing in the Champions League with the Eredivisie champions before moving to Milan in the January window.
In a bizarre twist of fate, he moved to the San Siro in January and was actually part of the Milan team that was knocked out of the Champions League by Feyenoord, despite Gimenez getting on the score sheet.
According to Tutto Sport, Gimenez might be on the move once again.
