Raskin sent three-word demand by Rangers team-mate amid Ibrox exit talk
Nico Raskin seems likely to leave Rangers this summer after a successful 2024/25 campaign.
Despite the Gers’ struggles in the Scottish Premiership this season, the midfielder rarely put a foot wrong.
Raskin was often praised for his performances as he controlled games while also providing a goal threat.
With Russell Martin now through the door, changes to the squad are expected.
However, the Scotsman will likely want to keep hold of Raskin, who has been linked with a Rangers exit.
Dujon Sterling tells Raskin to sign new Rangers contract
Now that the 2024/25 campaign is over, many of Rangers’ stars are now getting a well-deserved rest.
Multiple players are on holiday before they are set to return for pre-season and the Champions League qualifiers next month.
Dujon Sterling is no exception, with the right-back posting a series of images on Instagram (14 June) of himself on vacation in Miami, Florida.
Raskin responded to the post, commenting: “My boy”, alongside a teary-eyed emoji.
Sterling then replied to Sterling saying: “Sign the contract!!!!!” amid the ongoing speculation regarding the midfielder’s future.
Raskin could make himself a Rangers legend if he stays
There is no doubt that Raskin is one of Rangers’ best players. The midfielder is now a Belgian international and is well on his way to becoming a top player.
However, if he opts to stay at Ibrox this summer, he will be one step closer to establishing himself as a Rangers legend.
If Martin can build a team around the 24-year-old, the Gers would eventually pip Celtic to the title and finally overthrow their Old Firm rivals.
On top of this, with the 49ers’ investment, European success would not be out of the question, especially with how well Rangers perform in the Europa League.
