CONFIRMED DEAL;Rangers star Nico Raskin has terminated his contract deal with his club after…

Nico Raskin starred in a poor Rangers team this season.

The 24-year-old was a shining light in a dismal campaign for the Ibrox outfit and that form earned him his first Belgium appearance in March.

His exploits have not gone unnoticed and the Gers face a battle to keep his services this summer amid significant interest from the Premier League.

The likes of Aston Villa and Leeds United have been linked with a move for the Belgian and it remains to be seen whether he will remain in Govan.

Raskin reacts as Charai exit finalised at Rangers

One man who will not be at the Gers next season is Issame Charai.

The Moroccan-Belgian coach was brought in as an assistant towards the end of the Philippe Clement era and remained in his post after the 50-year-old was sacked.

He was linked with several jobs in Belgium after Russell Martin was appointed and the Govan club has now confirmed his departure.

Raskin took to Instagram (13 June) to share his thoughts on the exit, saying: “Thanks for everything, Issam.

Rangers need to keep hold of Raskin

The midfielder notched four goals and 10 assists for the Light Blues and could be a key asset for Martin in the future.

Whether he will still be at Auchenhowie shortly is a realistic possibility or not is questionable, as the Bears may not be able to withstand the interest in his signature.

They must do all they can to keep hold of him, as his impact on the pitch is crucial, and losing him would be a major blow to their hopes of catching Celtic.

The 49ers Enterprises and Andrew Cavenagh must give the new manager the tools that he needs to thrive in Govan; selling their star man would certainly be the opposite of that.
