Agreement reached’ as key Nottingham Forest staff member to join Jose Mourinho.

Nottingham Forest had an incredible season last year as they were battling for qualification to the Champions League; however, they missed out and could only achieve qualification for the Europa Conference League.

were incredible last season as they managed to move from a side battling relegation to being one of the most feared in the country.

However, it was the staff that were key to this success, as they masterminded an approach to make Nottingham Forest one of the toughest teams to score past in the Premier League last year.

Now, it is being reported that they will lose one of their key staff members to Jose Mourinho.

It has been reported by journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu on X, formerly known as Twitter, that Nottingham Forest’s assistant António Dias will be Jose Mourinho’s new assistant.

didn’t hesitate with his response, immediately stating: “Champions League. Simple.”

Carragher reasoned that “Liverpool have won the Premier League 20 times and the European Cup six times. Manchester United have won the league 20 times. They’ve won the European Cup three times.”

It was here that the former Champions League winner made his blunder, however, arguing that “no team has won the European Cup more than their own [domestic] league. Simple.”

With Nottingham Forest, that is not the case.

The Reds’ sole top-flight title came in the 1977-78 season, for which they qualified for the 1978-79 European Cup.

After winning that trophy, they qualified for the European Cup for a second consecutive season, winning the competition again in 1979-80.

The club have therefore won what is now the modern-day Champions League more times than they have won the English top-flight trophy.

In all fairness, it did seem as though Carragher was about to correct himself on the podcast, but he was interrupted before the conversation moved elsewhere.
