Everton in last chance saloon as Liverpool player is now discussing personal terms with another club

Everton in last chance saloon as Liverpool player is now discussing personal terms with another club

Everton’s summer transfer window is still waiting to really take off despite the signing of Carlos Alcaraz.

David Moyes was desperate to bring the Argentine midfielder back to Merseyside on a permanent basis following his short term loan.

But Everton are still left with a considerable amount of work to do this summer given the number of players departing at the end of their deals.

With Michael Keane expected to leave and injuries plaguing the squad, Everton are keen to sign a new defender ahead of the new term.

Speculation will likely remain hanging over Jarrad Branthwaite who is wanted by Tottenham Hotspur, unless he inks a new deal.

And the Friedkins are going to have to jump into action if they are going to land one of their defensive targets who is now discussing his salary with another club.

Everton target Jarell Quansah discussing Liverpool exit

With a new defender on the radar, Everton have identified Jarell Quansah as a target to explore from their local rivals.

It would be a transfer which would end a 33-year run of the Merseyside clubs not dealing with each other in the transfer market.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Bayer Leverkusen are now discussing a possible move for Quansah following Florian Wirtz’s move to Liverpool being agreed.

“In a separate discussion, they also spoke about Jarell Quansah,” he said.

“As part of a conversation in a separate deal – he will not be a part of the Wirtz story – he’s a player appreciated by Leverkusen.

“So, it’s between Quansah and Loic Bade. For Quansah, it’s an important point about the salary of the player because Leverkusen have a different salary structure.”

Liverpool value Quansah in the region of £29m this summer, but they may potentially demand more if he was to move to their local rivals.
