Everton and West Ham has both accepted contract terms to reunite with former West Ham wonderkid at Everton
Everton are in the market for a striker this summer transfer window.
It’s been reported that Dominic Calvert-Lewin will leave Everton at the end of his contract later this month, so David Moyes is searching for his replacement.
Thierno Barry has been heavily linked to the Toffees after a prolific season with Villarreal, netting 11 times in La Liga.
Roma’s Tammy Abraham has emerged as an Everton target, too, although newly appointed manager Gian Piero Gasperini is yet to decide on his future.
There is a unique striker opportunity that’s opened up for Everton, and it could see Moyes reunite with a former West Ham United wonderkid.
Everton have perfect opportunity to reunite David Moyes with Divin Mubama
Manchester City’s Divin Mubama is widely regarded as one of the best young strikers in the country at the moment.
Mubama netted 17 goals in 16 games across under-21s and first-team football last season, including one on his senior debut for Pep Guardiola’s side.
The 20-year-old actually came through West Ham’s ranks and Moyes was a big admirer of his, handing him 18 senior appearances.
Speaking back in November 2023, the former Hammers boss said: “But Divin is different from the rest. He has a mentality and an attitude that is as good as any top player.
“He’s so determined and works incredibly hard for the team, so we know what we’re going to get with Divin. What we need him to do is develop in all his actions and technical ability, but he’s 19 and did a great job for us when he came on.”
Remarkably, despite a prolific campaign with City’s reserve team, Guardiola will allow Mubama to leave the club for around £10m this summer.
What kind of striker is Mubama?
