Lucas Paqueta reacts as West Ham exit is announced and has been suspended from playing till next season due to…
Lucas Paqueta’s long-term future at West Ham is uncertain.
The Brazilian has been a star player at the London Stadium since his move to the Hammers in 2022.
However, Paqueta’s potential lifetime ban, alongside West Ham’s PSR concerns, have caused the midfielder to be linked away.
Manchester City have shown interest in Paqueta and could make a move this summer.
However, the midfielder isn’t the only player who has been linked away from the London Stadium.
Paqueta likes post thanking Kurt Zouma for his service at West Ham
Several players are set to leave West Ham this summer when their contract expires.
Lukasz Fabianski is one such star who will depart the Hammers, and the Polish goalkeeper could move to a rival club over the coming months.
Now, it was confirmed on Monday that centre-back Kurt Zouma would join the list of stars leaving.
The former French international joined the Hammers in 2021 and helped the London club win the Europa Conference League.
In the 2024/25 season, Zouma was loaned out to Saudi side Al-Orobah as he fell out of favour at the Hammers.
Now, West Ham have posted a thank you post on their Instagram account (9 June), with a montage of the centre-back’s best moments.
Paqueta reacted to the post with a like alongside Tomas Soucek and Pablo Fornals.
Zouma also replied to the post with a smiling face with heart-eyes emoji and a winky face.
Zouma was crucial to West Ham’s rise
While Zouma may not have played a part in the current campaign, there is no doubt that he was a crucial player for many years.
The centre-back was at the heart of West Ham’s defence as the London club became one of the best teams in the Premier League.
