‘Leeds have told me I’m finished at Elland Road’ – International star
Leeds’ promotion to the Premier League is likely to see many players sold as Daniel Farke prepares his squad for the top-flight.
Patrick Bamford has regularly been linked away from Leeds after a poor 2024/25 campaign.
On top of this, Brenden Aaronson’s future is uncertain amid rumours that the Peacocks are aiming to bring in an attacking midfielder.
However, the departures are unlikely to stop there as Leeds aim to be ruthless this summer.
Max Wober told he has no future at Leeds United
Max Wober joined Leeds in January 2023 but has rarely featured for the Yorkshire club.
The defender has played a total of 28 times for the Peacocks since his move and was sent out on loan to Borussia Mönchengladbach last season.
As a result, Wober has been linked with a Leeds exit after he struggled to break into the starting XI.
However, the Austrian is still a regular for this country and was fantastic in their 2-1 win over Romania in the World Cup Qualifiers on Saturday.
The defender made several spectacular clearances and has now spoken about his future at the Yorkshire club in the aftermath of the tie.
Wober confirmed to Sport Krone (8 June) that Leeds are looking to sell the defender this summer.
He said: “Leeds has already made it clear to me that they want to sell me. I think I might have been able to send out a letter of application.
“It was simply a good feeling to be back on the pitch and show that I can still play well, and that I definitely deserve to be here.”
Leeds have to be ruthless if they want to stay in the Premier League
For Leeds, there can be no room for sentiment if they want to stay in the Premier League next season.
