BEST SIGNING EVER;Chelsea Owners has reveals and agreed signing terms and conditions with Leeds Star

Leeds United striker Mateo Joseph is being monitored by Ligue 1 side Strasbourg ahead of the summer transfer window, according to Leeds Live.

At the second time of asking in as many seasons, Daniel Farke successfully guided Leeds United back to the Premier League, having bounced back from a play-off final defeat to win the Championship title. The Whites will have to reinforce well if they hope to avoid relegation, a fate that has befallen all of the past six promoted sides.

Leeds have already been linked with potential incomings ahead of their Premier League return, with Farke’s position as manager of the club having been confirmed by Leeds’ ownership, allowing full focus to turn to the transfer window. Now, however, it would seem that Farke may have to prepare for a departure from his squad.

Leeds Live have reported that there is “low-lying noise” in France, suggesting that Strasbourg are keeping a keen eye on striker Mateo Joseph. The forward, who will play for Spain’s under-21s side at their upcoming European Championship, was signed by Leeds from Espanyol in 2022 as a youth player.

Joseph has steadily developed at Elland Road and after an impressive pre-season, started the campaign as Leeds’ number nine. Joseph showed flashes of brilliance and clearly displayed he was a player with potential, even being called “exciting” for his displays, but the youngster struggled for consistency in front of goal, soon losing his starting place to Joel Piroe.

Now a Premier League outfit, Leeds may look to loan Joseph out for further experience, though it is unclear whether Strasbourg, who are “admirers of Joseph,” would settle for a loan or want him permanently. Under the management of former Hull City boss Liam Rosenior, and the ownership of Chelsea owners BlueCo, Strasbourg finished the 2024/25 Ligue 1 season in seventh, securing a place in the Conference League.
