GOOD NEWS;Neil Lennon has signed a new two-year contract at Celtic to continue as Dunfermline Athletic’s manager
With the season over, clubs around Europe are already starting to prepare for the upcoming campaign. Celtic are no different. Over the last few days, we have seen them being linked with a number of players, while the exit of Scott Bain, after more than seven years at the club, has also been announced. On the other hand, it is believed that the club will replace him with Ross Doohan.
Of course, the fans always like to keep an eye out for club legends who are now away from Celtic Park. And there was great news for one of them this week, as he penned a contract extension.
Neil Lennon arrived at Dunfermline Athletic in March, with the club staring at possible relegation from the Scottish Championship. The manager was able to help them avoid that and now has extended his stay with the club.
As announced by their official website, Lennon has signed a new two-year contract to continue as Dunfermline Athletic’s manager. It will see him, and assistant Iain Brunskill, remain with the club until the summer of 2027.
Celtic hero signs new two-year contract extension
After avoiding relegation with Dunfermline Athletic, Lennon’s next aim will be to guide them to the Scottish Premiership. That won’t be an easy task at all, but we all know that the Northern Irishman’s managerial career needs a boost as soon as possible.
The end to his time as Celtic manager was one that every fan will want to forget. He followed that up with a brief spell with Omonia Nicosia and an even shorter one at Rapid Bucharesti.
If Lennon fails to deliver at the Scottish Championship level, then it might very well be the end of his managerial career. So, a lot is riding on how his spell at Dunfermline Athletic goes.
