Everton agree terms for permanent midfield transfer, contracts to be signed in days

Everton are already putting transfer plans in place ahead of the window opening on Sunday.

After David Moyes saved his side from the drop with ease in the Premier League, The Friedkin Group are expected to back him ahead of the move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

The Scotsman is already looking up in the Premier League, looking to put years of struggles behind him, with big changes on the way.

With that in mind, signing number one already appears to be in place for June 1.

Everton to take Carlos Alcaraz permanently

Resources during the winter transfer window were more limited than they are set to be this summer, but Everton did make a loan signing in Carlos Alcaraz.

Although there was a clause that would have triggered an obligation to purchase, the midfielder did not make enough appearances during his spell at Goodison Park to trigger that.

Nevertheless, Everton still had an option to buy, although only valid until the end of May, leaving little time for a call to be made.

It has been previously reported that those at Goodison had been impressed with the 22-year-old and that has been reflected as terms have been agreed for a permanent deal.

Alcaraz has earned himself a permanent move.

According to Brazilian news outlet Globo (29 May), Everton have activated the option to keep Alcaraz, who agreed on personal terms on Wednesday.

Flamengo are set to receive £12.6million, with the possibility of another £2.5million in bonuses.

Everton make the right move with Alcaraz

Alcaraz has been solid in his performances for Everton so far, and given he already knows the environment well, this is a decision that makes sense.

Moyes is eager to reduce the average age of his side to create a slicker team, and the midfielder is surely someone who fits into that plan with some ease.
