Everton open negotiations for their first summer signing, player is keen to join
Everton are not looking to hang around when it comes to transfers this summer.
David Moyes has worked his magic on Merseyside after turning things around in the second half of the campaign.
Sunday’s result against Newcastle United was synonymous with the improvements being made at Everton this year.
Everton are expected to be busy in the transfer market with a lot of improvements still needed on Merseyside.
The season may only have come to an end on Sunday, but the Toffees have now opened talks over their first signing of the summer.
After landing in December, The Friedkin Group are yet to make a permanent signing, but that could soon change.
Everton open talks over first summer signing
The good news keeps on coming for the Blues as Everton fans want to see Carlos Alcaraz signed permanently.
Alcaraz scored the winning goal on Sunday against Newcastle United with his future still hanging in the balance.
On Monday, the club confirmed they are in talks with Flamengo over making his stay permanent.
‘The Club is continuing discussions with Charly Alcaraz, who joined the Blues on a loan deal from Brazilian side Flamengo in February until the end of the 2024/25 season,’ Everton said in their statement.
It is believed Alcaraz is keen to join Everton permanently having enjoyed his return to England playing under Moyes.
What is interesting is that Everton have not taken up their option to buy Alcaraz after what has been a successful loan.
Alcaraz has been praised by Moyes, and fans will not want to see the Blues miss out on the Argentine by seeking better terms.
Everton confirm four summer exits
