Wrexham chief confirms Patrick Bamford transfer decision to Chris Moyles

Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford will likely be on the move this summer after a torrid season in the Championship.

The English striker was limited to substitute appearances and thus was unable to find the back of the net.

Despite this, Bamford still has something to offer, and a move to Wrexham has been heavily mooted.

However, as Wrexham figure Humphrey Ker and Chris Moyles discussed transfers, there was an emphatic answer regarding the 31-year-old.

Wrexham chief shares Bamford stance

The rise of Wrexham has been nothing short of extraordinary, as they aim to join Leeds in the Premier League before long.

This season, they achieved promotion to the Championship to make it three successive promotions on the bounce.

That means that the Welsh club has risen from the non-league to the second tier in just three years.

Of course, the reason for their success rests with their Hollywood owners, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

Nonetheless, it is a phenomenal feat, and Wrexham are now preparing to strengthen their squad to compete in the Championship.

Bamford is one of a number of high-profile players linked with a move to the Racecourse Ground, along with Jamie Vardy and Tom Cairney.

However, if Ker’s words on the Chris Moyles Show are anything to go by, then Bamford will not be joining the Welsh club just yet.

Speaking on Radio X (20 May), Moyles said: “Can I ask you some questions from our lovely listeners?”

Moyles went on to ask Ker if Wrexham have already signed Leicester City legend Vardy, to which he replied: “No.”

Moyles then asked: “Patrick Bamford?”

To which Ker gave another emphatic response as he said: “No.”
