Everton have now promised Richarlison as they look to sign Tottenham striker this summer

Richarlison played a huge part in Tottenham Hotspur’s Europa League win but he is yet to be convinced his future remains in North London, TBR Football understands.

The Brazilian played on the left side in Tottenham Hotspur’s 1-0 win over Manchester United in Bilbao, and that is part of the problem heading into a World Cup year.

Richarlison is seen by many in his homeland as the answer to their number nine issues and new Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti knows him well from their time together at Everton.

However, if Richarlison stays at Tottenham, no matter who is in charge next summer, the chances are that Dominic Solanke is likely the first-choice striker in N17.

TBR Football’s chief correspondent Graeme Bailey has been told that Richarlison knows he needs to be playing next season, which is one reason he is considering his options.

One of which is a return to Everton, who have promised him a leading role at the Hill Dickinson Stadium – should he move back to Merseyside. Currently, Richarlison sees Everton as the most opportune solution right now.

Ange Postecoglou hailed Richarlison before the Europa League final and it’s clear that the Australian manager views him as a good squad option. Although, as TBR Football revealed last month, Tottenham had shown an interest in selling Richarlison this summer and were also open to a possible loan deal.

But now, Richarlison is set to take the coming weeks to decide what his best options are heading into one of the most important 12 months of his career.

Will Richarlison start for Brazil at the 2026 World Cup?

Richarlison’s biggest concern is that he will face strong competition to play in a wide role for Brazil. Selecao already have the likes of Raphinha, Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo, Endrick and potentially Neymar Jr competing for just two spots.
