GOOD NEWS;Jarrod Bowen ‘to leave West Ham United’ after Graham Potter contract claim
Jarrod Bowen has been the shining light in an otherwise dismal campaign for West Ham, and the two may part ways this summer.
West Ham don’t need anyone to tell them this, but the current campaign has been nothing short of a living nightmare for everyone associated with the London Stadium.
A 17th-place finish is on the cards for a side that only a couple of years ago lifted a European trophy, showcasing just how far they have regressed.
Bowen has been one of the only players to emerge from the campaign with any credit for the Irons, and a new claim made about Graham Potter will spark concern.
West Ham will be fortunate to keep Bowen next season
Bowen is an English international and a player capable of playing Champions League football, and yet he has been involved in somewhat of a relegation scrap this season.
Since the appointment of Potter, West Ham have regressed even further, and her will already be having some doubts as to where his future lies.
However, with Paul Merson suggesting that Potter should be handed a five-year contract, that may just be enough to trigger the alarm for Bowen and seek a move elsewhere.
Bowen deserves to be competing for trophies, and under Potter, that is simply not going to happen, and if the former Brighton boss is to stay at the London Stadium for the foreseeable future, it will severely limit Bowen and what he can achieve in his career.
Everyone wants to see him stay with the Irons, but very few would argue against the fact that he deserves far more success than he is going to get at West Ham under Potter.
