WORST NIGHTMARE EVER;James Tarkowski has condemn and rejected signing new Everton Contract

James Tarkowski wants to continue his career at Everton as he enters the final year of his current contract, according to Alan Nixon.

The 32-year-old has been with the Toffees since the summer of 2022, when he arrived as a free agent after leaving Burnley. He’s been a key player throughout his time on Merseyside, including this season when he scored a crucial equaliser in the last-ever Merseyside derby at Goodison Park.

The veteran centre-back has been a mainstay in David Moyes’ side since the Scot returned to the club, until a recent hamstring injury. He’s expected to continue as a starter in the short to medium term, even if the Blues are in the market for new defenders this summer.

Nixon reports on his Patreon that Tarkowski wants an extension and desires to stay with Everton amid the club’s stadium move. He appeared 15 times under Moyes before requiring surgery on his hamstring after suffering an injury in a 2-0 loss to Manchester City in April.

The two-cap England international will be targeting a return for the Toffees’ pre-season tour of the United States which kicks off in July. He’ll also want to be part of a new era for the club under new ownership and in a new stadium.

When he arrived nearly three summers ago, Tarkowski signed a four-year deal that sees him earn a purported £100,000 per week. He’s the joint-fourth-highest earner at the club alongside Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Jordan Pickford could join Tarkowski in signing a new contract with the club. The English goalkeeper is reportedly ready to commit his future to see out his career with the Merseysiders
