Former Premier League referee thinks £10m Nottingham Forest player might be in trouble after win vs West Ham
Nottingham Forest defeated West Ham 2-1 at the London Stadium to take their quest to reach the Champions League to the final day of the Premier League campaign.
A lot of hard work has been put in up until this point, with Forest doubling their points tally on last season when the Reds finished on 32 points having been deducted four.
Morgan Gibbs-White was praised by Gary Lineker after he opened the scoring against the Hammers, with Nikola Milenkovic showcasing his quality with a solid second goal in the second half.
A lengthy VAR check after the second goal meant that there were 11 minutes added by referee Sam Barrott and during that period, things got a little bit heated between the two teams.
Dermot Gallagher makes claim about Morato after Forest win
On this morning’s edition of Ref Watch on Sky Sports, the team of pundits looked over the incident at the end that saw a mass confrontation ensue after a tangle between Murillo and Lucas Paqueta.
The cameras picked up Morato seeming to put his hand in Jarrod Bowen’s face during a melee involving a number of players from both teams.
Gallagher believes that Morato might find himself in hot water once the FA decide to oversee the footage from the situation that marred the closing stages of the contest.
He said on Sky Sports: “In situations like this, it’s really very difficult for everyone, who is the peacemaker, who is the aggressor. Unless you can pick anyone out definitively, it’s best to just leave it for the FA to hand out further sanctions.”
Morato needs to fix up next season
It’s fair to say that Morato has looked better when coming off the bench as a substitute than he has when he’s been asked to start games.
