UNBELIEVABLE RETURN;Brendan Rodgers confirm the sudden return of former player Jeffrey Schlupp

It was a day of celebrations on Saturday, from Glasgow to London, as Celtic and Crystal Palace enjoyed a day to remember.

One man who has an association with both clubs is Jeffrey Schlupp, after he secured a loan move to the champions of Scotland in January.

The 32-year-old played in Celtic’s 1-1 draw against St Mirren, celebrated the title, and then watched Crystal Palace create history by winning the FA Cup final.

The London club beat Manchester City 1-0 at Wembley to win their first major trophy and their first honour in their 119-year history.

Schlupp played 13 minutes for Palace in this season’s FA Cup when he featured off the bench during his side’s win against Stockport County, before moving to Celtic Park.

Jeffrey Schlupp’s fitting two-word message after Celtic and Crystal Palace’s trophy delight

Schlupp has had trophy success in his career before when he helped Leicester City win the Premier League title in 2016.

Now, the versatile defender is on course to land his second trophy at Celtic, if Brendan Rodgers’ side beat Aberdeen at Hampden on May 24.

But, with Palace winning the FA Cup, hours after Schlupp lifted the 2024/25 Premiership title, he posted an apt two-word message on Instagram.

Schlupp’s loan at Celtic in numbers

It seems as though Greg Taylor will leave Celtic when his contract expires in the summer, so another left-back will be needed for next season.

Everyone knows that one of those players will be Kieran Tierney, but another option is required for Rodgers.

That’s why it will be interesting to see if Celtic put a contract on the table for Schlupp, because his contract at Selhurst Park does expire at the end of June.
