TNT Sports confirm major Everton vs Southampton coverage decision ahead of Goodison Park farewell

Everton take on Southampton at Goodison Park tomorrow afternoon

Everton supporters will be forced to head behind the red button in order to watch the on-pitch celebration on television following the game against Southampton. Goodison Park plays host to its final men’s Premier League game tomorrow ahead of relocating to Bramley-Moore Dock next season.

To mark the occasion, the club confirmed earlier this month that following the full-time whistle, a special on-pitch celebration will take place. Appearances from current and former players, live musical performances and specially curated big screen content will form part of the ceremony, called ‘End of an Era’, that will last for approximately one hour.

However, for those supporters not lucky enough to be inside Goodison and who will be watching at home on TNT Sports, they are set to have to head behind the red button.

TNT Sports has confirmed to the ECHO that coverage from Goodison will start at 11am on TNT Sports 1, but at 2.50pm that channel will switch to the Gallagher Premiership Rugby clash between Harlequins and Exeter Chiefs at Twickenham Stoop.

In order to continue to watch the coverage of the closing ceremony, supporters will have to switch to TNT Sports 7, which is behind the red button on Sky.

Coverage on the red button will run until the end of proceedings at the Old Lady, and the game, along with the ‘End of an Era’ ceremony, will also be able to be streamed on Discovery+, while the ‘End of an Era’ ceremony is also set to be shown live on YouTube.

Everton captain James Tarkowski will join pundits Duncan Ferguson, Phil Jagielka and Rio Ferdinand for the game, with Darren Fletcher and Ally McCoist on commentary.
