‘Terrible news’… Everton fans are starting to worry after hearing who David Moyes is about to submit a bid for
Everton are making plans for the summer transfer window.
The Friedkin Group are ready to hand David Moyes a substantial budget, with PSR issues finally set to be lifted.
David Moyes is believed to be in the market for a left-back and Leicester City’s Victor Kristiansen has been linked to Goodison Park.
Sunderland defender Dennis Cirkin is also on Everton’s radar after his impressive season in the Championship.
The Scotsman wants to add another midfielder to his ranks, too, and now fans have been reacting to the latest transfer rumour on that front.
Everton fans worried after hearing David Moyes wants to sign Tomas Soucek
It’s been reported that Everton are about to submit a bid for West Ham United midfielder Tomas Soucek and it’s fair to say, supporters are far from convinced.
“Terrible news for us. Old, expensive, not the best other than heading, s—. Don’t see the point when we can offer Doucoure less wages,” @RC021878 said.
“F— me Coufak and Soucek. Two players who simply are not good enough. Signing players from teams below us/around us will not improve us,” @Everton__1234 added.
@WAJG_96 added: “Ffs we’re really going to spend £15m+ on 30 year old Soucek then sign Coufal on a free. Creswell, and Ings scare me too.”
“Please no, he’s decent but he’s 30. We need pace and good technical player,” @Leo1878s commented.
@don836787988830 posted: “Rather keep Doucs than spend money on him.”
Soucek stats 2024/25
Soucek’s numbers this season have been pretty decent, as he’s scored nine goals from midfield under Julen Lopetegui and Graham Potter.
- 36 appearances
- 31 starts
- 9 goals
- 2 assists
- Soucek has been threatening to leave West Ham for Everton, as he’s not been wholly satisfied with his game time under Potter.
The 30-year-old has a great relationship with Moyes, but there are other interested parties, with Leeds United circling.
