DONE DEAL;Premier League star ‘told he can leave’ – move to Leeds United now wide open

Leeds United seem to be targeting Premier League experience with the latest reports. Daniel Farke is said to be keen on adding quality players who know the league.

It is a different strategy from what Ipswich Town did last summer. Ipswich spent big money on players from the Championship, signing a whole host of top players from the division. Kieran McKenna’s side were still relegated with a poor points tally.

Leeds would be justified if they add experience to their already talented squad. Daniel Farke will have some money to spend, with a reported £150million budget.

Leeds have been eyeing a midfield presence with Premier League experience in the past month, with Sean Longstaff and Tomas Soucek being linked.

Now, the Whites have been handed a major boost, as West Ham are open to selling Soucek. According to TBR Football, the 30-year old has been told he can leave the club. Everton and Leeds seem to be the main contenders. But the report adds that a further five clubs could also be in the running to sign the Czech international.

West Ham are eager to move Soucek off the books to raise funds. The midfielder could be available for just £20million.

Soucek ticks all the boxes

Tomas Soucek was a big part of why West Ham were successful under David Moyes. The key to his game is how good he is in between both boxes. He is a goal threat in the opponent’s box, and he cleans up when in his box.

This season, despite West Ham’s poor form, he has nine goals. His ability to arrive late in the box during attacks is a big bonus from midfield. Soucek is not a defensive liability either, this season, he has won 171 duels, near the highest percentile in the league.
