Nottingham Forest have now officially registered their interest in ‘one of the best strikers in the Premier League’

Nottingham Forest are set for a transformative summer transfer window.

With European football on the horizon, Nuno Espirito Santo needs a much bigger squad to deal with the added fixtures next season.

As such, Espirito Santo has drawn up a list of targets, with Southampton midfielder Mateus Fernandes believed to be on Forest’s list.

Bournemouth centre-forward Evanilson is also being linked to the City Ground, though, that deal seems unlikely given the fee it’d take to get him out of the south coast club.

Now, it’s just come to light that Nottingham Forest have registered their interest in one of the most exciting strikers in the country.

Nottingham Forest have officially registered their interest in Liam Delap

Nottingham Forest want to recruit another striker to give Chris Wood support next season and according to the Telegraph, they’ve now officially registered their interest in Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap.

The report states Delap, who is regarded as ‘one of the best strikers in the Premier League’ (per the Guardian), will be available for around £30m following Ipswich’s relegation, which has alerted a number of clubs.

Manchester United, Chelsea and Newcastle United have all been keeping tabs on his situation after his breakthrough in the Premier League, netting 12 times.

There is an acceptance at the City Ground that Delap will be incredibly difficult to sign, however, chiefs believe he’s perfect for Espirito Santo’s system.

Yoane Wissa remains on Forest’s radar

If Forest are unable to sign Delap this summer, it seems they could reignite their interest in Brentford’s Yoane Wissa.

Wissa remains on their radar and it’s claimed the club could launch another bid if the Bees’ asking price is reasonable.
