Former Everton coach in shock talks to become the next Rangers manager

Former Everton coach in shock talks to become the next Rangers manager

Everton have seen some of their former coaches go on to impress elsewhere.

David Moyes is one of them following his European triumph during his time away from Merseyside with West Ham United.

However, perhaps the biggest example of this is with Carlo Ancelotti and the Champions League success he has enjoyed with Real Madrid.

Everton enjoyed an impressive 3-1 victory against their former manager Marco Silva on the weekend down in the capital.

After the game, Silva bizarrely claimed Fulham were beaten by the worse side in what was a strange dig at his former side.

Silva is just one of Everton’s recent coaches to have moved on under the tenure of Farhad Moshiri.

It now looks as if another former Everton coach could be set for a return to the United Kingdom as he has entered talks to become the new Rangers manager.

Former Everton coach Davide Ancelotti in talks to join Rangers

Carlo Ancelotti is set to become the new Brazil manager with his time at the Santiago Bernabeu coming to a premature end.

The legend of the game is leaving his post one-year early to take on the Brazilian national role.

According to Fabrizio Romano, his son, and former Everton coach, Davide Ancelotti is now in talks to become the new Rangers manager.

With his father, Carlo, making the move to Brazil, it is believed Davide is looking for his own role as the new Madrid boss will bring his own staff.

Although Ancelotti is one of the names in the hat for the job, Rangers have now contacted the 35-year-old over the role.

Ally McCoist urged Rangers to appoint Sean Dyche following his own departure from Everton earlier in the year.

But it looks like another former Rangers coach could be about to take on the role.
