Rangers submit offer to hire new manager whose agent is David Villa
Rangers are expanding their search for a new head coach ahead of the summer.
The Gers are in need of a permanent manager ready for the new season when interim boss Barry Ferguson ultimately departs.
As a result, the search is well underway to find an alternative to the Scot while the 49ers look to complete their takeover of the Ibrox club.
With that being said, the net has been cast wide to find a new head coach, with a client of David Villa now emerging as a target in G51.

The Light Blues have been linked with a number of new manager options, with none appearing to be close to completion in Govan.
This has seen Danny Rohl most recently linked as the highly-rated coach looks destined to depart Sheffield Wednesday at the end of the season.
Of course, there have also been links to Steven Gerrard, who may be in line for a return to Ibrox after his ill-fated Saudi Arabia switch.
Now, the Gers have reportedly shown an interest in Real Madrid assistant manager, and son of Carlo, Davide Ancelotti.
Corriere dello Sport reported on 11 May (page 24) that the 35-year-old has received multiple offers to become head coach with Rangers and Como linked with the Italian.
The assistant coach is under the management of ex-Barcelona star Villa and appears to be considering his options before rushing to a final decision over his future.

It is fair to say that the 35-year-old would represent an unknown quantity for the Light Blues if he were to come in as head coach.
Ancelotti has been the assistant manager under his father at the Bernabeu since 2021, with Los Blancos winning 11 trophies in that time.
