BREAKING NEWS;Danny Rohl update emerges as Rangers make new manager decision

Sheffield Wednesday will be owed compensation from Rangers if they are to hire Danny Rohl this summer.

Barry Ferguson is likely to part ways with the Ibrox outfit at the end of the season, once the takeover is finalised.

Dave King and other shareholders have decided to sell all or most of their stake to ensure the San Francisco 49ers get to 51 per cent.

Rohl compensation may be too much for Gers

While Gers have decided that they will be looking for a new manager this summer, they also have a budget for new signings and a potential release clause for a new boss.

It’s understood that Rangers or any other club keen on hiring Rohl will have to pay £5million in compensation for him [talkSPORT].

According to Heart and Hand’s David Edgar, that may be too much for the Ibrox outfit as it’s a big investment toward hiring a new manager.

They seldom spend that kind of money on new signings, so having to spend it on a manager could be a bridge too far.

Via X, Edgar wrote: “On Danny Rohl – leaving Sheff Wed but has a release clause of 5m which would be a big investment for us. According to reports down there he has Bundesliga offers as well as Saudi.”

Rangers could benefit from hiring a manager like Rohl

If Rangers believe Rohl is the manager who delivers instant and long-term success, paying a substantial compensation fee to secure him from Sheffield Wednesday is a justified investment.

At 36, he has already demonstrated exceptional managerial prowess, transforming Sheffield Wednesday from relegation candidates to a solid mid-table Championship side in just 18 months, despite limited resources and off-field challenges.
