
‘Sullivan decision vindicated’ as managerial update emerges away from West Ham
David Sullivan has come under scrutiny at West Ham in recent times, but has now proved his nous to supporters at the London Stadium.
The Hammers chairman isn’t the most popular figure in East London, as many supporters see him as the problem with their side’s recent failures.
It has to be said that it wasn’t all bad under David Moyes as the Irons secured a Europa Conference League title before eventually sacking the Scot.
Although Sullivan may have made the wrong choice there, his decision-making in recent months may have been proven correct.

There was a general feeling around the London Stadium that Moyes had reached the end of the line as manager of the E20 club.
The style of play had begun to grate on supporters who wanted to see more exciting football for their money in the capital.
This saw the former Manchester United boss move on before eventually taking up a role back at Everton, where he has showcased his class.
The same can’t be said about the Hammers, as they have struggled throughout the campaign, now sitting 17th in the Premier League.

This all kick started with the appointment of Julen Lopetegui, who failed to truly get going after being named as head coach in the summer.
As a result, it was little surprise to see the ex-Real Madrid boss face the sack after just 22 games, but now Sullivan’s decision to do so has certainly been vindicated.
On Friday (3 May), the Spaniard was named as the new manager of the Qatar national team, summing up the level he now finds himself at as a head coach.
