HIS GONE;Rangers has terminated defender Neraysho Kasanwirjo contract deal with club after what happened

Rangers defender Neraysho Kasanwirjo is some way from being back to full fitness, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that as he was out of action since November, it is going to take a lot for him to return to 100 per cent.

This comes after the Dutch defender returned to B Team action on 29 April, scoring in the Glasgow Cup final clash against Celtic.

Kasanwirjo not expected to be ready for the Celtic game

Rangers once again take on Celtic this weekend, but this time it is the senior sides squaring off.

The game is on Sunday, 4 May and is set to be played at Ibrox, with there not being too much riding on it as the Hoops have already secured the league title.

Speaking about this situation, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, exclusively told Ibrox News: “He has been out for over five months, so it’s going to take consistent first-team training plus a handful of minutes with bounce matches before he’s ready for 90 minutes – that may not be feasible until next season.

“While he did make his B Team return this week, he is some way from being back to full fitness and he’s not going to be risked in a high-stakes senior game just days after.

“While he might play for the senior team some time this month, it’s not expected to be this weekend.“

Rangers have a decision to make on Kasanwirjo’s future

While the 23-year-old did miss a large chunk of the season due to injury, he showed promise once he started getting regular minutes.

Signed on loan from Feyenoord, Gers do not have the option to buy him at the end of the season.
