GOOD NEWS;Tomas Soucek exit has finally been confirmed’ as contract decision made at West Ham
Tomas Soucek could be preparing to pack his bags at West Ham as the summer transfer window looms.
The Czechia international has been an ever-present for the Hammers since signing from Slavia Prague over five years ago.
Even under Graham Potter, the 30-year-old has had a positive impact in East London, but has been linked with an exit nevertheless.
Despite Soucek’s contract running until 2027, it appears that a transfer decision has been made, which could end any hopes of a stay in E20.
Soucek summer exit on the cards at West Ham
There has been no shortage of departure discussions for the midfielder who could be looking for a move away from the capital in the coming months.
This has seen Soucek be mentioned with a move to David Moyes’ Everton in what would be a reunion with the Scottish head coach.
Although this could make sense for the Czech ace, it could prove to be damaging for the Hammers if he isn’t replaced adequately.
With that being said, if a young alternative for the ageing midfielder can be found, Soucek’s exit could be accelerated by the Irons in the summer.
This comes after links with Lorient midfielder Arthur Avom, with Irons scouts sent to watch the 20-year-old throughout the campaign in Ligue 2 [The Sun, 1 May].
The Cameroon international is out of contract in the summer and is in no rush to sign a new deal in France, so he will listen to all offers before deciding on his future.
If the youngster opts into a move to the London Stadium, it is unlikely to represent positive news for Soucek and his E20 future.
Potter set for Avom revolution at West Ham
The addition of Avon in East London could prove to be the beginning of a midfield alteration under the former Brighton head coach.
