BEST SIGNING EVER;‘Brilliant’ Premiership star agrees £300k transfer after being tipped to sign for Rangers

Rangers have one eye on the Scottish Premiership as they already look to strengthen their squad ahead of next season.

Lyall Cameron signed a pre-contract with Rangers on deadline day whilst the Dundee midfielder’s Dens Park teammate Josh Mulligan is a Rangers target.

That’s even if Dundee manager Tony Docherty isn’t giving up on Mulligan staying at Dens Park.

Andy Halliday also tipped James Penrice as a potential Rangers target, as the Ibrox club look to add more homegrown heroes to their international Rangers squad.

But whilst Rangers do have several players on their radar, one Scottish Premiership talent tipped for a move to Ibrox won’t be signing for Rangers.

Rangers to miss out on Scottish Premiership talent

Kilmarnock striker Bobby Wales is one of the breakthrough players in this season’s Scottish Premiership campaign.

The 19-year-old striker has impressed at Rugby Park this season with Derek McInnes insisting he wants to keep Wales around despite the teenager’s contract ticking down.

But now McInnes looks set to be disappointed after Wales has reportedly agreed a deal elsewhere.

Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Wales has agreed a four-year deal with English Championship side Swansea City with Kilmarnock set to bank £300k in training compensation.

Rangers were tipped to consider Bobby Wales swoop

The news surrounding Bobby Wales and Swansea comes despite Rangers being tipped to move for the Scotland youth international.

Back in February, Open Goal host Simon Ferry tipped Rangers to move for Wales with Old Firm rivals Celtic also mentioned.

“Oh, brilliant Bobby Wales,” an awe-struck Ferry says of Killie’s 19-year-old hopeful. “He’s one – you see Celtic and Rangers? – he’s one you’d be looking at.

“6ft 2ins centre-forward, touch, good finish…”
