West Ham announcement ahead of Tottenham game ‘a warning to Sullivan’
Graham Potter has struggled to get going with West Ham United since his arrival to replace Julen Lopetegui.
Potter was limited in the business he could do during the winter transfer window and has had to contend with injuries in his team, too.
However, the Irons are without a win in seven games, leaving them just one place above the Premier League relegation zone with plenty of work to be done.
David Sullivan sent warning ahead of Tottenham clash
West Ham face a big clash on Sunday (4 May) as they prepare to welcome Tottenham to the London Stadium.
There is just one point separating the two sides in the Premier League table and if Potter’s men come out on top, they would leapfrog the Lilywhites in the league.
However, the Irons may have to face the London derby with a depleted crowd as supporters are seemingly showing their disdain.
Ahead of the clash, West Ham announced on their official website (29 April) that there are a number of tickets available for the game after supporters have put theirs up on the ticket exchange.
Given this is a game now against a side that are close to the Hammers in the league, and their biggest rivals in the competition at that, it highlights the levels of disappointment among the home crowd.
Sullivan needs to take West Ham warning
David Sullivan is not the most popular figure at the London Stadium, and given the misery of the past couple of seasons, it’s understandable why that is the case.
The chief has to be prepared to back Potter financially in the summer transfer window to ensure he has the resources that can help him strengthen his squad in the way that is needed.
