‘Graham Potter could walk from West Ham’ as Fulham prepare for summer approach
West Ham could be set to part ways with Graham Potter as a battle with Fulham looks set to roll into the summer.
The English head coach has had a difficult spell since taking over from Julen Lopetegui after he also struggled in his stint at the London Stadium.
Since taking over, the 49-year-old has taken charge of just three wins and will be hopeful of turning that around moving into next season.
With that being said, there is every chance that Potter could jump before he’s pushed as Fulham look to make their presence felt in the capital.
Fulham talks pose problem for West Ham and Potter
Although the former Chelsea head coach may have had a tough time since coming in, there is no doubt that he has the nous to make him an asset in East London.
If that is to be possible, he needs to be backed by David Sullivan and Co. and that needs to start in the upcoming summer transfer window.
If players with this level of experience are to depart, there will be a massive need for adequate replacements to come in.
This has seen Kyle Walker-Peters be linked with a move to the London Stadium, a versatile and experienced player which is exactly what the Irons need.
Now this move could be in danger of happening as Fulham are expected to open talks with the 28-year-old when the summer window opens [Dharmesh Sheth, 28 April].
If that does happen, there is every chance that Potter sees this as a failure from the board at the London Stadium and a lack of backing.
It has happened before, and it could happen again. The Englishman could walk from his job after just months in the job if he feels that way.
