Nottingham Forest keen on tying down Hudson-Odoi

Former Tottenham scout Mick Brown, who remains well connected with people who work in the game at the highest level, has now revealed that the Lilywhites have turned their attention to Callum Hudson-Odoi.

However, Brown explained that Nuno Espirito Santo’s men are keen to keep the 24-year-old off the North London club’s clutches and are thus ready to offer him a new deal.

He told Football Insider: “Nottingham Forest want to sit down with Hudson-Odoi. He hasn’t got long left on his deal, and they want to make sure he isn’t tempted to leave, because there has been interest from a few teams, including Tottenham.

“He’s always shown a load of promise that looked like it was going to go unfulfilled. Now, he’s been allowed to grow and improve his game probably beyond what most expected of him before he made that move. From a Forest point of view, that’s a selling point to convince him to stick around.”
