‘Todibo deal to be made permanent’ as transfer update emerges away from West Ham

Jean-Clair Todibo could soon become a permanent West Ham player as the summer window nears.

The Frenchman moved to the London Stadium at the start of the campaign on an initial loan deal from Ligue 1 side OGC Nice.

It is fair to say that it hasn’t been a perfect season for the 25-year-old, who has struggled for consistent fitness throughout his spell in claret and blue.

The centre-back could be given a further chance to prove himself under Graham Potter as a permanent deal now looks more likely in East London.

Todibo could now sign permanently for West Ham

The former Barcelona man moved to the Premier League with plenty of acclaim and expectation after a superb season in France.

Todibo hasn’t necessarily lived up to this hype throughout the year, making just 14 Premier League starts and an additional seven substitute appearances.

This doesn’t necessarily point towards a permanent move being ideal for the Irons, but if they are to lose out on other targets, the Frenchman could come into play.

One star name who has been linked with a move to the London Stadium is Bournemouth man Dean Huijsen, as Martin Allen put forward the “superb” defender as a dream signing.

There is no doubt that the Spain international would be well-received in East London after a terrific debut season in the Premier League with the Cherries.

Any move for the 20-year-old looks to have taken a blow as TBR Football reported on 19 April that several Premier League clubs, including Liverpool, Tottenham, Chelsea, Aston Villa and Newcastle have held talks with the defender.

The Cherries want a deal for Huijsen done as quickly so they can reinvest the money in the window, which could see these elite sides step up and take advantage.
