Josuha Guilavogui incredibly makes Leeds United history after matching 36-year-long Vinnie Jones record
With Leeds United’s success on the pitch, it’s worth noting the impact off it as Josuha Guilavogui deserves his plaudits.
The overall feeling around Leeds is a healthy one as the club are making serious moves to return back to the Premier League.
It’s clear that Daniel Farke’s side are pointing in the right direction, and the likes of Manor Solomon and Joe Rodon should be credited for their performances in a crucial stage of the season.
Farke was thrilled with Rodon vs Oxford as the centre-back put in a valiant display to secure three points.
Despite the on-field presence being known, Josuha Guilavogui has provided brilliance off it and has done so by equalling a remarkable record.
Guilavogui has equalled Vinnie Jones record at Leeds United
Although he hasn’t exactly set an incredible standard, Guilavogui’s signing in the summer was still vitally important.
The Leeds boss has a strong admiration for the 34-year-old, as Farke has called Guilavogui ‘unbelievable’ for his presence around the changing room.
It seems to be a known fact that the Frenchman is a big character around the squad, as Guilavogui has nurtured the likes of Wilfried Gnonto.
Although he has only amassed 53 minutes across his 15 Championship appearances, this has now lead to a brilliant achievement which matches former player and football hardman Vinnie Jones.
Jones endured a short but sweet Leeds stint, and Guilavogui has now managed to equal Jones’ 1989 record of being unbeaten in his first 15 games for the Whites.
