Nottingham Forest has suddenly terminated Lewis O’Brien contract deal with club few minutes ago..
Nottingham Forest midfielder Lewis O’Brien has addressed his future as he nears the end of his Swansea City loan spell.
When he put pen to paper for the Championship side during the winter transfer window, the 26-year-old spoke about wanting to get his career back on track. He seems to have done just that, having established himself as a key figure for the Swans.
O’Brien has had a succession of loan moves since his move to the City Ground in the summer of 2022. Seemingly enjoying himself in Wales, the former Huddersfield Town man has made clear he is open to returning to the club.
It’s one of those things. It’s never out of the question, but sometimes it’s not in my hands, especially having to go back to my parent club,” O’Brien told WalesOnline.
“We will see what the summer holds. It’s never say never, really.
“I am just focusing on playing the football we have been playing, getting Swansea and me into the best possible position at the end of the season. Then when I do go back (to Forest), there will be options and we’ll see what the best one is for me.

“I feel like it’s been a pretty positive time since I have been here, not just for me but for the team in general. We are on quite a good run at the moment and the confidence is high, as you can see on the pitch.
