Nottingham Forest decide they want to sign £25m Manchester City player as Pep Guardiola eyes Morgan Gibbs-White
Manchester City and Nottingham Forest could cross paths a fair bit between now and the start of next season.
The Citizens are only two points behind the Reds in the Premier League, so Pep Guardiola could yet end Nuno Espirito Santo’s dreams of taking Nottingham Forest into the UEFA Champions League.
Both sides are also set to meet at Wembley later this month in the FA Cup with a spot in the final up for grabs, where either Crystal Palace or Aston Villa await.

However, Manchester City and Nottingham Forest could still be connected even after the 2024/25 campaign is over, with those at the City Ground now keen to sign James McAtee.
Nottingham Forest want James McAtee
The Daily Mail now state that Nottingham Forest are interested in signing the Manchester City No.87 this summer.
McAtee – who Bayer Leverkusen also want – is valued at £25m by the Citizens as he approaches the final 12 months of his contract at the Etihad Stadium, an affordable fee for both sides keen on his services.
The England U21 international shone for Manchester City as he scored in the 5-2 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday, which was his seventh goal of the season in just 811 minutes of action.
If Nottingham Forest are serious about signing McAtee, it seems like they have some catching up to do, as Bayer Leverkusen held talks with Manchester City about a deal at the Etihad Campus last week.
Manchester City could use James McAtee to land Morgan Gibbs-White
Interestingly, Manchester City are showing admiration for a Nottingham Forest player too.
