Vladimir Coufal;West ham star has announced terminating his Contract with club due to…

West Ham are set for big changes in the summer transfer window, as Vladimir Coufal is now set to leave.

Coufal has been a key player for West Ham over the years, but has fallen down the pecking order behind Aaron Wan-Bissaka this season.

The 32-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season, and as it stands, there is no new deal on the table for Coufal.

Graham Potter would need to replace Coufal at full-back, and has now set his sights on Southampton star Kyle Walker-Peters as a replacement.

West Ham want Walker-Peters

It has now been reported by Sunday People (page 53, April 13) that Coufal is “expected” to leave, with Walker-Peters targeted as his successor.

Walker-Peters is also out of contract at Southampton, and with the Saints now relegated, West Ham are set to offer him a “Premier League lifeline.

The 27-year-old was a standout performer in an otherwise dismal Southampton side this season, and he has also attracted interest from his former club Tottenham.

Walker-Peters would slot straight in at fullback to replace Coufal, and given his attacking ability, he would suit Potter’s five-at-the-back system perfectly.

Walker-Peters would be perfect for West Ham

West Ham’s budget is set to be limited by PSR constraints this summer, but signing someone of Walker-Peters’ experience and quality on a free would be a masterstroke.

The defender is comfortable on both flanks, meaning he could both cover for Wan-Bissaka and play alongside him.

The Englishman would arrive with 145 Premier League appearances under his belt, which is more than Coufal managed, but as an option who is five years younger than the Czechia international.

This will be the start of what Potter hopes is a busy summer, where West Ham may need to sell to buy, but Walker-Peters would allow the Hammers to strengthen their defence without any financial issues.
