Ianis Hagi was the hero as Rangers recorded yet another comeback in the Scottish Premiership in the trip to Aberdeen.
Rangers found themselves two goals and a man down at half-time at Pittodrie but roared back in the second period of an eventful game in Scotland’s northeast.
Hamza Igamane finished neatly to give Rangers hope before Ianis Hagi popped up in the final seconds of the game to curl a stunning goal into the top corner.
The wonderful effort halts Celtic’s inevitable coronation as Scottish Premiership champions and keeps some momentum heading into Thursday’s Europa League clash with Athletic Club.
Ianis Hagi makes Rangers position ‘totally clear’
Heading into the match, Ianis Hagi rubbished transfer reports suggesting that he was set to leave Rangers this summer.
The Romanian playmaker, 26, is out of contract at the end of the season and Hagi recognises that his situation is unclear.
But the long-serving Rangers star – who has been at the club since 2020 – insists he loves the Gers and is happy at Ibrox.
”I understand from my perspective because obviously my future is up in the air with the contract counting down to the end of the season,” Hagi told Sky Sports.
”I totally understand but what I cannot accept things that are put, words that I haven’t said ever and I just wanted to make that clear.
“Because I never said I wanted to leave Rangers and I just wanted to make that clear. You know how happy I am and how much I love this football club and I’ll do anything for this football club.”
